Nel frattempo le concorrenti di Microsoft Xbox e Nintendo Wii, sono state violate in tempi brevissimi, e godono di un ottimo mercato pirata.

Qualche tempo fa, George Hotz (GeoHot) già famoso per il suo successo nello sblocco di iPhone, ha iniziato a dedicarsi all’esplorazione della Sony PS3. Ha creato quindi un blog apposito, dove pubblica scoperte interessanti sulla PS3 e metodi per aggirare i sistemi di protezione.

Continueremo a seguire il suo blog per quanto riguarda notizie sui suoi esperimenti, ma dimentichiamoci di vedere pubblicati da lui tool per lo sblocco o il tanto atteso ISOloader. Speriamo comunque che i suoi sforzi servano a qualcosa, e che dopo 3 anni, qualcuno riesca a creare una modifica per la PlayStation 3.
